  • The first time I ever saw one of those container innovations was a few years ago when my family and I took a few hours' drive to Tagaytay (a literally cool place in the Philippines). I think we stayed at a place called Butterfly Haven. The rooms were all in shipping containers. I thought it was very cool. I still do, actually. Anyway, I found another house that made use of these containers. Follow this link and you'll fine a 12 container home! :) http://www.architectureandhygiene.com/main.html
  • You may be interested in the Ace modular building units which can be used as a standalone unit or component of a larger structure. It is compact for transportation and storage, easily assembled/dissassembled with hand tools on site, and can be configured (both interior space and exterior windows/doors) for many applications. • Honestly, there are lots of people using containers as their homes, even old container trucks, these are people who don't have money to purchase anything, and the article reminded me of it.. hope that our government will do something with those poor people.
